The first step is to have a chemistry call. I offer this without charge. It is for us to see if we
could be a good match. I will tell you about me and what I do, and will tell me about yourself
and what you would like to work on. It is crucial that we feel comfortable to work together in
order to have positive results. If I feel that I am not the best person to support you, I will let
you know and maybe refer you to someone else if appropriate.
If for any reason you do not wish to go forward, no hard feelings.
Coaching is a process and a commitment to yourself. It does not happen instantly, therefore
more than one session may be needed. We can discuss and plan ahead what might be best for
you according to your objectives and make adjustments along your journey or we can just
start and see how it goes. If we do decide to go on, we then get a coaching agreement to be
signed by both of us before the first session that stipulates how we will function, the number
of sessions planned, prices etc. Coaching intends to be flexible, according to your priorities at
any particular point in time.
I offer coaching for women only; in person one-on-one in the centre of Tel Aviv or by
phone or via video call session.
Through powerful conversations and deep listening I attempt to tap into your stuck potential.
Communication techniques such as reflection, paraphrasing and summarizing are often used
to help you see through your owns thoughts. It is sometimes easier to make sense of them
when they are exposed back to us by someone else. Sometimes I may respectfully challenge
your beliefs or behaviours that may be limiting you. The use of metaphors to describe a
situation or in an activity may be encouraged. Somatic process could be explored if this is
something you are open to. Interventions from both positive psychology and coaching may
also be suggested when appropriate. Suggested tasks are evidence-based as much as possible
and based on your learning styles.
Specific aims and objectives are agreed on our first meeting and reviewed periodically to
ensure that coaching continues to meet your needs. Coaching is a flexible process.
Since there are no regulations for coaching, there is a lot of different stuff happening out there. So let me clarify what it is that I do. I did study evidence-based coaching and I comply with the professional guidelines and codes of ethics of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) as well as the International Coaching Federation (ICF). (https://www.emccglobal.org/ and https://coachingfederation.org)
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
According to these standards, the aim of coaching is to support clients with changes, specific goal achievement, and/or areas of personal/professional/health learning and development. It is assumed that people have the solution inside of them and that they know what is best for them. The coach acts as a facilitator to uncover these means and accompany the client through building his own plan or path to change.
Coaching is
not mentoring, counselling or therapy. It is not meant to treat or cure any
mental disorder. I am not trained nor ethically allowed to deal with mental
health issues. In coaching, clients are accountable for their own development
and implementation of the plan discussed in sessions, deciding the topic as
well as the directions to go towards and the coach acts as a facilitator in the
process. Solutions come from the client and as a coach I am not to give answers,
advice or opinions on how to fix a certain problem.
